THE EARLIEST AMERICANS PART 2

(There were no states back then)

Christopher Columbus arrived in 1492. His goal was to the shortest way to get to Asia by sea.  In 1513 Spanish explorer Juan Ponce arrived in what is now Florida. He was hoping to find wealth and new lands. In 1534 Jacques Cartier came in search of riches. By the early 1700's the Atlantic coast had many settlers. People traveled westward looking for good lands. I hope you learned something today, by.
